Risk Appetite


LO-M30-T04-001: Define the three types of risk appetite (L1)
LO-M30-T04-002: Analyse why companies have different risk appetites and what drives them (L4)
LO-M30-T04-003: Defend why risk-taking companies should be very good in systematic risk management (L6)
LO-M30-T04-004: Criticize risk-averse companies are a drag on an economy (L4)
LO-M30-T04-005: Discuss that companies can move in the risk appetite scale from risk-averse to risk-taking and vice versa (L2)

The learning outcome questions are structured based on Bloom’s Taxonomy. The learning outcome questions fall under six levels of cognitive learning such as

L1 - Knowledge: Remember previously learned information.
L2 - Comprehension: Demonstrate an understanding of the facts.
L3 - Application: Apply knowledge to actual situations.
L4 - Analysis: Break down objects or ideas into simpler parts and find evidence to support generalizations.
L5 - Synthesis: Compile component ideas into a new whole or propose alternative solutions.
L6 - Evaluation: Make and defend judgments based on internal evidence or external criteria.
