Quota System is the theory of analysing society by a quota system, irrespective of a population statistic, race or other demarcation. The basic assumption is to have demographies represented in all facets and levels of the society as per national statistical information. This system is used not only by governmental organizations, but also in private industries, so as to maintain a proper stock level and supply of required commodities.
Quotas in these quota systems differ in nature from other types of quota systems. In those based on national origins, there is a basic principle of providing jobs to the people, based on their percentages in a population, and excluding the undesirables. In ethnic quota systems, the quotas are given for a particular nationality, tribe or community. There are also ethnic quota systems for reservation in government jobs and civil services. There are also religious quota systems, like Christian and Muslim quotas, and quotas based on ethnicity, for example Russian Orthodox and Jewish quotas.
Civilian life is not governed by the quota system because it is not controlled by any national legislation. Civilians are protected by the right of individual freedom, including the right to enter into any country without any restrictions whatsoever. Civilians may also be employed or appointed in certain positions by the government, subject to their percentage of the total population of that country. Quotas are also given for professional qualifications such as degrees, diplomas, special talents or skills, and especially for highly skilled positions, such as scientists, professors, etc. Civilians are not protected under this system and are often subjected to racial discrimination and sometimes to physical violence.
