In addition to the above indicated topics the participants need to master over 3000 terminologies in supply chain management.

Procrastination is often equated with being lazy, but in the case of the manufacturing industry this is a wrong conception because actually "being lazy" is an act of inaction, whereas "being proactive" is a more appropriate term. In a proactive work place, the entire production activity is geared towards producing higher levels of output at the lowest possible cost to the company. This is a crucial difference between the two. In a passive production environment, the primary objective of all action is to achieve lower levels of output at the lowest possible cost to the company.

Procrastination and reactive behaviour are often considered as two mutually exclusive terms; however, a closer scrutiny of the meaning of both terms will reveal that there are significant differences between the two. Proactive behaviour or proactive action refers to voluntary, conscious action that endeavours to resolve an issue before it has actually occurred. Proactive behaviour also includes a willingness to take immediate action that can be implemented immediately without being held back by other factors such as the availability of resources or the time required to undertake such actions.

The tendency for proactivity is often associated with those people who are highly motivated to achieve their objectives and those who possess a powerful drive to succeed. It is also associated with those organisations and teams that put their best efforts forward despite the obstacles that they face. In contrast, those that are reactive are those that are often ambivalent about taking any action at all, even if they believe they should. Reactive people are often portrayed as being emotionless and inert; but there is considerable evidence that proactivity is not necessarily associated with a negative emotional state. In fact, in many instances, proactivity is associated with greater emotional well-being, especially by the people who are perceived to be more proactive.
