CIOP online sessions are conducted in a well-organized manner. The online sessions are conducted on Saturdays, between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (Indian Standard Time). There will be two breaks during the session. First break at 8:00 PM for 15 minutes and the second break at 9:00 PM for 10 minutes. The participants will join the program through the link sent to them well in advance and they get reminder notifications. First reminder a day before the session and the second reminder one-hour before the session. The participants will be able to see the presentation and the writings of the faculty at the same time. The faculty delivers the program through a smart board and the participants will be able to access both the presentation used by the faculty and his notes at the ends of the session through Fhyzics’ Learning Management System (LMS).

In this new age of advanced technologies, Radio Frequency Identification (rfid) technology is fast becoming the most commonly used method of automatic identification and data capture of products, resources and people in any environment. RFID is short for Radio Frequency Identification, which describes a system using radio-frequency that is capable of tracking,

enabling storage and access to personal information. The tracking capability is achieved by embedding tiny RFID tag collectors into objects such as; PEDs (personal Electronic Devices), ICTVs (Insurance Card Readers), Luggage, wearable computers, pocket calculators, library cards, credit/debit cards and so on. In addition, RFID can be used to track physical assets such as trucks, cars, storage lockers and so on.

RFID promises to revolutionize and enhance the way companies interact with their customers and suppliers and by improving supply chain management and real-time supply chain dynamics. However, there are some challenges that need to be addressed before this new technology can be applied in the real-world. One of these is how to implement the Radio Frequency Identification into a production, distribution and retail environment. Another big issue is whether the data can be secured and used for specific purposes. This may seem obvious, but the biggest issue is that of the legal framework and obligations that are related to collecting and using this new technology for optimum benefits.

The answer lies in developing robust data capturing products that work both as automatic identification and capture devices. Currently there are two emerging solutions based on completely automated systems. One uses smart cards and the other is RFID compatible smart cards. Both of these innovative systems have been proven in field trials and are now being used worldwide to speed up the supply chain process.
