CIOP sessions are conducted by a pool of faculties who also offer the other international certification programs. The typical faculties are having experience between 20 to 30 years in the domains of procurement and supply chain and have a wealth of industry and teaching experience. All of them have great passion for teaching and believes in continuous learning and sharing those learnings. The faculties also go through periodic trainings titled “Faculty Development Programs” to keep them abreast with the latest developments in supply chain and teaching methodologies. Basically, all the faculties are practitioners or consultants who work for the industry and teach supply chain during their spare time or execute this as a project.

In manufacturing, the word warehousing indicates a method that notifies all employees of a manufacturing or quality problem. The manufacturing process is usually the same in warehousing activities but in some instances it may have variations such as the number of days required for complete process or quantity.

Warehouse activities include loading and unloading items and equipment, packing and storing materials, and picking and placing materials for immediate use in production. The warehouse should be large enough to handle the expected load and should be located on a foundation that allows for easy access and is safe from fire.

Warehouse management includes a control system such as an integrated software or computer network to allow the control of processes including workflow, inventory, work orders, and more. The software is used to track items and number of days they should be stocked or available for pick-up and to alert all staff when it is time to review inventory and reorder. Warehouse maintenance includes inspecting for signs of damage and moisture, cleaning out receptacles, and cleaning equipment and replacing parts that show wear. When a warehousing problem occurs such as equipment downtime, the management team should immediately try to find the root cause. In order to do this the Andon technicians should examine the whole manufacturing line to make sure there is no other issue affecting the entire process.

Lighting is very important to a manufacturing operation and is one of the most basic components of warehousing. Without lighting a manufacturing area would be nearly impossible to operate. Warehouse lighting is controlled by Andon's automatic lights system. This system is fully automated with a simple push of a button or manual action from an operator. Warehouse lighting should be monitored frequently to ensure adequate lighting is available to all staff members.
