1. Conducting Nithiya (Daily) Annadhanam
Guided by the sacred Saiva principle that feeding a hungry soul is worship of Lord Siva Himself, Sivanmanai humbly commenced its Nithiya Annadhanam service on Sunday, 20 September 2020, at a very modest level. What began as a small offering at the Lord’s feet has, through His boundless grace and the support of devoted Sivabhaktas, grown steadily over the years.
On Friday, 17 October 2025, Sivanmanai joyfully marked the completion of five blessed years of uninterrupted daily Annadhanam. Today, this sacred service nourishes approximately 80–100 devotees every single day, without break, throughout the year.
The Annadhanam is offered daily between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM at 34, Sigamani Nagar 3rd Street, Madipakkam, Chennai – 600091.
Devotees are welcome to participate in this divine seva by offering contributions in the form of rice, dal, cooking oil, and other essential groceries, thereby sharing in the spiritual merit of Annadhanam.
2. Organising Thirumurai Programs
With the intent of preserving and immersing devotees in the nectar of Saiva Siddhanta, Sivanmanai organises Thirumurai recitation programs, especially Thiruvasagam and Devaram, at temples, institutions, cultural gatherings, and family occasions.
These sacred recitals, filled with devotion (bhakti), emotion, and spiritual depth, are conducted in a manner suitable to the occasion, with program durations ranging from one hour to eight hours. Through these efforts, Sivanmanai strives to keep alive the living tradition of singing the divine hymns of the Nayanmars and Manickavasagar, allowing hearts to melt and minds to turn inward towards Lord Siva.
3. Publishing Saiva Samaya Books, Booklets, Blogs, and eBooks
As part of its mission to make Saiva spiritual literature accessible to all, Sivanmanai has, over the past five years, printed and distributed several thousand copies of Sivapuranam booklets to Lord Siva devotees in temples. A few years ago, 3,000 pocket-sized Sivapuranam books were printed and lovingly distributed, enabling devotees to carry this sacred hymn with them at all times.
Recently, Sivanmanai has initiated an online Thiruvasagam study session, where all 51 Pathigams of Thiruvasagam are explained with meaning, one Pathigam at a time, every Sunday. To further support collective recitation and understanding, Sivanmanai has purchased and distributed around 500 copies of Thiruvasagam books to several temples, benefiting devotees who participate in monthly Thiruvasagam Muttrodal programs.
At present, dedicated efforts are underway to publish eBooks for each Thiruvasagam Pathigam, presenting both the sacred verses and their meanings. These will be made available through the Sivanmanai Blog, ensuring that the timeless wisdom and devotional essence of Thiruvasagam reach seekers across the world.
